Momma's story
Introducing Momma! She is a 11 month old domestic short hair tabby that arrived to the shelter very scared. She has now spent the last month in our care spending time on getting socialized and adjusting to new surrounding and people. As a kitten, Momma was found feral and running around outside. Some kind folks took her in when they realized that she had a new litter of kittens to take care for. Momma was very well behaved in the house, but was still quite fearful and didn't appreciate the presence of other cats in the area while she was caring for her young. While Momma has made progress in our care she is still very shy and would do best in a quiet home without young child or lots of commotion. She loves to sleep under her bed not on it and thinks that a warm lap is the best place to show off her motor skills with loud purring. It will take some time for her to adjust in a new home. We do not know how she will do with other pets, but hope that with a little time and patience she will become an amazing feline friend for her new family. This girl has won the hearts of staff and we cannot wait to see her in a new loving home.
